OREANDA-NEWS. July 06, 2010. This was informed by the head of State Taxation Service of Moldova Nicolae Platon, noting that the total amount of their income was 353.4 million leis and accrued taxes of 32.2 million leis. Only 85 persons of total number of millionaires have declared their income.

As compared to 2008 fiscal year, has reduced the number of persons with income above 1 million leis, as well as the total amount of received income and accrued taxes. In 2008 the income exceeding 1 million leis were collected by 187 persons, the total amount of their income was 388.8 million leis and accrued taxes – 33.8 million leis.

Also the list of millionaires has changed considerably. Out of 187 millionaires in 2008, have remained only 42. The maximum amount declared by millionaires was 7.3 million leis.
