EDB Registers USD3,5 bn Short-Term Paper Program
OREANDA-NEWS. July 29, 2010. Eurasian Development Bank (EDB) registered a USD3.5 Euro-Commercial Paper Program, reported the press-centre of KASE.
UBS Limited и VTB Capital plc are arrangers and dealers on the program. The program pursues to attract up to one-year market funds.
"The program will be a source of short-term liquidity, - comments Dmitry Krasilnikov, EDB management board member, head of corporate financing and financial institutions. - Through commercial papers with different parameters, we hope to expand investor geography, and manage the business more effectively. A simplified procedure of the commercial paper issue will allow for reacting at rising short-term financing needs of the bank faster. Besides, the program will facilitate building of public credit history of the bank".
Apart from financing on commercial paper markets, EDB with BBB/ВВВ/А3 ratings of Fitch/S&P/Moody's, accordingly, is planning to continue attract syndicated banking credits, and keep activity at internal and regional bond markets.
