FAS to Create Training Centre in Kazan
OREANDA-NEWS. September 07, 2010. The Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS Russia) and the Government of the Tatarstan Republic signed an Agreement for creating an International Training Centre of the Federal Antimonopoly Service for continuing professional education in Kazan, reported the press-centre FAS Russia.
On behalf of FAS Russia the Agreement was signed by Stats-Secretary Andrey Tsarikovskiy, Deputy Head of FAS Russia, and on behalf of the Government of the Tatarstan Republic – by a Minister Ildar Khalikov.
The Agreement is aimed at promoting development of competition in the Russian Federation, expanding business capabilities and stimulating entrepreneurial activity.
The objective of the FAS Russia’s Training Centre is to provide advance professional training and refresher courses focusing on the main areas of the FAS Russia’s activities.
It is expected that members of staff of the Central Office of FAS Russia and its regional offices, civil servants of other government agencies and power bodies, including judiciary, the Ministry of Interior of the Russian Federation and the Prosecutor’s Office of the Russian Federation will be able to attend educational and training and courses at the Centre.
The FAS Russia’s Training Centre will also be used for training, refresher courses and advanced training of the officers of antimonopoly authorities of the CIS member-states.
Lecturers will be Russian and foreign experts in antimonopoly regulation, state procurement and economics in general.
It is planned that the FAS Russia’s Centre will be opened in autumn 2011.

This Republic has many innovative best practices, including organization of electronic trading, and continuously aspired development and implementation of new technologies in the work of the authorities and business. Here our interests coincide”, said Stats-Secretary Andrey Tsarikovskiy, Deputy Head of FAS Russia.
