Ukraine to Study International Experience of Pension Reform
OREANDA-NEWS. October 06, 2010. For effective pension reform in Ukraine, the Government intends to study the international experience. The Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov said this during a meeting with IMF Managing Director Dominique Strauss-Kahn.
"We are working on the draft pension reform that is why the experience of other countries in this area is valuable to us" - emphasized Mykola Azarov.
The Prime Minister of Ukraine noted that yesterday during an official visit to Poland he held meetings with senior management in Poland, during which, inter alia, discussed the process of reforming the pension system in this country: "We have agreed to exchange delegations and study their experience of pension reform. "
Meanwhile Mykola Azarov asked the International Monetary Fund with a request of consultations for Ukraine on the matter: "In this regard, your specialist advice to us has great value."
"Our Government is firmly committed to reforms in Ukraine. We want to prepare them very carefully to preview everything to prevent the least amount of mistakes in the process of implementation"- Mykola Azarov said.
