OREANDA-NEWS. October 06, 2010. Since the beginning of this year, Ingosstrakh has paid insurance indemnities to its clients, agricultural manufacturers, for 86 insured events for the total amount of about 154 mln rubles, including under agricultural harvest insurance – about 91 mln rubles, property insurance against fire – about 56 mln rubles, livestock and poultry insurance – 4.3 mln rubles, fish stock insurance – 2.6 mln rubles.

In total for the current year 263 losses in the area of agroindustrial insurance for the total amount (demanded) of 1,250 mln rubles were claimed to Ingosstrakh. They include: the current year draught claims – 201 losses for the amount of 857 mln rubles.

Currently the insurer’s experts continue an active work on the insurants’ claims, assess the damage and provide necessary examinations to estimate the crops’ condition and reveal the facts of damage and loss.

It should be noted that according to the Russian Federation Ministry of Agriculture experts’ data, the summer draught damaged more than 22,000 Russian agricultural farms. The confirmed direct losses in the agroindustrial complex were more than 39 bln rubles Almost 13 mln ha of agricultural crops were damaged, which is 30% from the crops area in the damaged regions. The emergency situation regime because of the draught was imposed in 38 constituent entities of the Russian Federation.
