OREANDA-NEWS. October 07, 2010. The Head of the Department for Control over Foreign investments of the Federal Antimonopoly service (FAS Russia), Svetlana Levchenko, and her Deputy, Vladimir Yakovlev, took part at the conference on “M&A Market in Russia and the CIS”, organized by The Moscow Times, reported the press-centre of FAS Russia.

The conference was attended by analysts from foreign and Russian companies specializing in financial consulting in the field of merges and acquisitions and investment generation, representatives of the Supreme Arbitration Court of the Russian Federation and the Investigation Committee of the Russian Ministry of Interior.

Speakers analyzed trends, the pace of and factors underlying development of M&A market. Discussions focused on changes in the existing corporate law of the Russian Federation, and prospective development of market with participation of foreign capital.

Svetlana Levchenko gave a presentation “Enforcement practice of the law on fearing investments to strategic industries” and answered numerous questions from conference participants.
