OREANDA-NEWS. October 11, 2010. Interdepartmental Commission recognized very unsatisfactory the measures taken by the heads of Sberbank JSC, Ukreximbank, PJSC "Rodovid Bank", JSC "Bank "Kyiv", JSC AB "UGB ", Ministry of Finance of Ukraine, government and law enforcement agencies to effectively solve problem of loans repayment by state banks or banks with significant state share.

Also the work of the Ministry of Finance is recognized insufficient concerning the lack of enforcement of the Interdepartmental Commission decisions concerning appropriate amendments to legislation with purpose to eliminate the causes of the loans non-repayment by state banks.

Members of the Interdepartmental Commission recognized unsatisfactory the response from several state agencies to the facts of banks application concerning repayment of unreturned loans.

Given these facts, the Chairman of the Interdepartmental Commission Volodymyr Sivkovych instructed to prepare a draft report to the Prime Minister of Ukraine on improper bank executives functioning about the problem of repayment of loans issued by state banks or banks with significant state share.

The Interagency Commission also requested the MoF and KRU with participation of the National Bank of Ukraine to conduct financial analysis and management discipline of the banks, and to explore issues of program of the financial rehabilitation of banks and its implementation effectiveness.
