OREANDA-NEWS. November 25, 2010. Under the educational project “Training of Specialists – Participants in Investment Projects with the Assistance of Development Institutions” a regular refresher course “Investments in Development Projects” was conducted at the Russian Academy of Civil Service (RACS) under the President of the Russian Federation from 15 to 19 November of 2010.

26 specialists participated in the training including representatives of companies operating in lumbering, timber processing, household chemicals manufacturing, construction industry, housing and communal services, employees of regional development institutions and credit institutions’ investment subdivisions from various Russian cities as well as representatives of the Russian Regional Development Ministry, line ministries and institutions of the Amur, Belgorod, Novosibirsk regions, the Republics of Mordovia and Karelia.

The main subjects of the refresher course were: specifics of Russian and foreign development institutions’ activities, selection and expert’s examination of projects at Vnesheconombank, specifics of implementing projects on public private partnership terms, risk and efficiency assessment of investment projects, legal support and monitoring of investment projects’ implementation.

Among the speakers were lecturers of RACS, the State University – Higher School of Economics, representatives of the largest consulting companies, experts of Vnesheconombank’s key structural subdivisions as well as representatives of Vnesheconombank’s partner companies and customers. A new training format that provides for engaging specialists of the Bank’s partner companies who actively shared their experience made it possible to analyze in more detail using specific examples typical mistakes made in implementing large-scale and long-term projects.

Training under the educational project is conducted in various formats depending on the extent of specialists’ involvement in the process of preparing and implementing investment projects. In total since December of 2009 more than 200 people did a training course. Upon completing a training course and passing tests successfully participants are to receive a Certificate.
