OREANDA-NEWS. January 18, 2011. Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko has approved by his ordinance #6 new rules of sale of wood on the domestic market, which expand the powers of producers and consumers, the press service of the president said.

Most of the standing wood will be sold at the exchange. The only exception is consumers that will acquire wood at the tariff price in volumes approved by the Council of Ministers.

In 2011-2012, the starting price of standing wood meant for sale at the exchange will be set at the level of the fixed tariff on wood as of the day wood is offered for sale.

Also, the document abolishes the provision on mandatory payment of a cash security of 2% of the planned purchase value at Belarusian Universal Commodity Exchange.
