OREANDA-NEWS. January 20, 2011. Moldova’s foreign national debt as of December 31, 2010 totaled USD 1,116.17 million, up USD 342.5 million (44.3%) for 2010. The growth of the foreign national debt of Moldova in 2010 was partially caused by the excess of the credit inflow to the country over the amount of payments for the foreign national debt by USD 166.13 million.

In particular, Moldova received new credits in the amount of USD 212.04 million in 2010, while the main payments on the foreign debt for this period totaled USD 45.91 million.

In early 2010, Moldova’s foreign national debt totaled USD 773.67 million.
