OREANDA-NEWS. January 28, 2011. On 1 February 2011 UVK opens an A-class warehouse in Dnipropetrovsk, which will become the operator’s fundamentally new logistical site in this region. The new warehousing facility will specialize in commercial storage and serve as a distribution center for retail and a cross-docking terminal for transit cargoes.

The warehouse’s total space is 3170 sq.m, including 2880 sq.m of storage facilities, and the rest are office and ancillary facilities. The new warehouse is located at Udarnikov Str. 26, in the immediate proximity to the international road E50, Dnipropetrovsk road M-04, and railroad tracks.

‘Experts are talking about existence of unsatisfied demand for quality storage facilities in the regions. We also observe the continuous growth of the needs of our customers from the regions. Thanks to the new warehouse, UVK plans to expand its service area. Also, the new warehouse will provide our customers an opportunity to receive high-quality service, on the one hand, and cut the costs of freight transportation and distribution within Ukraine and reduce their rental expenses (due to the lower tariff rates comparing to the national capital), on the other,’ Yurii Avdysh, UVK Commercial Director notes.

As of today, UVK Logistics has the most sophisticated regional infrastructure among all logistics operators doing their business in Ukraine. UVK offers warehousing services in all oblast administrative centers, and has the largest logistical sites in Donetsk, Dnipropetrovsk, Kharkiv, Odesa, Lviv, and Simferopol.
