Sviaz-Bank Places 22nd in 2010 Performance among Biggest Banks
OREANDA-NEWS. March 21, 2011. As reported by the RBC.Rating Agency, Sviaz-Bank placed 22nd among the Top 500 banks in net assets as of January 2, 2011. The Bank had 180.5 billion rubles in net assets, that pushed it four notches up from the year before, reported the press-centre of Sviaz-Bank.
In the Agency’s rankings of the Top 500 banks in liquid assets as of January 1, 2011, Sviaz-Bank is in 24th place, or five notches up from where it was at year beginning.
Sviaz-Bank’s loan portfolio of 63.2 billion rubles put it in 32nd place, nine notches up, among the Top 500 banks in the size of their loan portfolios as of January 1, 2011.
In the Agency’s estimates, Sviaz-Bank places 25th among the Top 500 banks in loans issued to legal entities as of January 1, 2011. The Bank had issued 59 billion rubles in loans to corporate customers, or 65.5% more than it had by January 1, 2010.
And more, Sviaz-Bank is listed 27th among the Top 500 banks in deposit portfolios as of January 1, 2011, with 91.7 billion rubles in deposits placed in accounts with it. Legal entities’ deposits of 81.9 billion rubles lifted the Bank into 21st place among the Top 500 banks in deposits accepted from legal entities as of January 1, 2011, six notches up from last year.
Finally, Sviaz-Bank placed 11th among the Top 500 banks in investments in securities as of January 1, 2011, with 46.4 billion rubles put in securities.
The RBC.Rating Agency allocated the rankings using its own techniques, and they may differ from the Bank’s official figures based on the techniques used by the Bank of Russia.
