FAS Excluded 2 Firms from Register of Dominant Economic Entities
OREANDA-NEWS. March 30, 2011. The Office of the Federal Antimonopoly Service in the Tomsk region (Tomsk OFAS Russia) completed analysis of the market of services for removal and dumpling of solid waste in Strezhevoi in 2009 – 2010, reported the press-centre of FAS Russia.
Based on its findings, the following companies were excluded from the Register of economic entities that have over 35% share of the market of particular goods:
- “Transcomservice” Ltd. – under the positions “Removal of solid waster” and “Dumpling solid waste” within the geographic boundaries of Strezhevoi, the Tomsk region;
- “Transsib” Ltd. - under the position “Removal of solid waster” within the geographic boundaries of Strezhevoi, the Tomsk region.
Earlier these economic entities were the subject of strict control by the antimonopoly authority and were included in the Register by No.52 Order of Tomsk OFAS Russia of 27th March 2006.
Market analysis completed by Tomsk OFAS Russia in 2011 showed that in 2009 – 2010 the largest share of the market of removal and dumpling of solid waster was controlled by “Transcomservice” Ltd. However, in November 2010 “Transcomservice” Ltd. stopped operating on the market of these services as its license expired.
Since end of 2008, “Transsib” Ltd. also has not been involved in removal of solid waste.

The Register is a state information resource, which is a database of economic entities, whose share on the market of particular goods exceeds 35% or that have dominant position on the market of particular goods if federal laws specify cases for such markets when economic entities should be recognized as dominant.
The Register is kept by the Federal Antimonopoly Service and its regional offices for the purposes of protecting competition and creating conditions for effective performance of particular markets, and for systematization and registration of data about economic entities included in the state information resource. If an economic entity included in the Register abuses its dominant position, it constitutes a violation and the norms of the antimonopoly law and the Code of the Russian Federation on Administrative Violations come into force.
