OREANDA-NEWS. April 21, 2011. The Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov made the remark the Minister of Agricultural and Food Policy Mykola Prisyazhnyuk for extremely slow pace of signing forward contracts. The Head of Government said this during the session of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.

"I draw the attention of the Minister of Agricultural Policy and Food on the extremely slow signing forward contracts" - Mykola Azarov said.

He said: February 18, 2011 the Agrarian Fund was transferred 1.5 billion UAH for the forward purchase. However, it has been used only half of that amount.

“Instead of during sowing to intensify the use of powerful financial instrument for the last decade (from 8 to 18 April) forward contracts were signed for the supply of less than 10 thousand tons of grain crop of the future” - the Prime Minister said.
