OREANDA-NEWS. May 25, 2011. Tata Refractories (TRL), Belpahar, organised a health camp at Kudaloi panchayat office of Jharsuguda district on May 23, 2011, for the benefit of students and villagers. Four hundred and forty-two beneficiaries from nearby places were examined in the camp by the doctors of Jehangir Ghandi Hospital of TRL. The camp was organised jointly by the CD & SW department and Jehangir Ghandi Hospital with the help of 'Bidhata' an NGO working in this area. A blood donation camp was also organised in the same premises by Bidhata. A group of doctors comprising Dr SS Sutar, Dr SC Rout and Dr KB Panda actively took part in the camp. Noor Bidya Tooti, chairman, jilla parishad, inaugurated the camp. SA Habib, manager, HRM; HK Panda, manager, admin; Mohammad Fakruddin, president, Bidhata; Debi Mishra of Belpahar; and a few executives of TRL were present at the inauguration of the camp.

TRL through its CD & SW department has been organising health camps under its CSR programme called 'Arogya'. Apart from free health checkup, the beneficiaries are given free medicine. This is the first health camp organised by TRL this financial year. During the last financial year the company had conducted seven health camps in Belpahar municipality and Lakhanpur block area where more than 3,000 beneficiaries were examined and provided medicine. The company has planned to cover 3,500 villagers, students and elderly people under this programme during 2011-12.
