OREANDA-NEWS. June 1, 2011. The collaboration between Kazakhstan’s two leading oil and gas trade events has been further strengthened by the announcement that Iteca (part of the ITE Group), organiser of the KIOGE exhibition and conference, has signed an agreement with the KAZENERGY Association to organise the KAZENERGY Eurasian Forum in 2011.

The events will run consecutively with the KAZENERGY event being held in Astana on 4th and 5th October and KIOGE’s exhibition and conference taking place in Almaty on 5th to 8th October.

The agreement was announced at a press conference detailing the preparations for the 6th KAZENERGY Eurasian Forum, which will take place in Astana’s Independence Palace.

At the press conference, Mr Dzhambulat Sarsenov, General Director of the KAZENERGY Association said. “We are pleased that these two major oil and gas events will be held together. The collaboration with Iteca will begin in October at the KAZENERGY Eurasian Forum in Astana and continue later in Almaty at KIOGE. Today an agreement was signed with Iteca and our agreements have found a legal basis. We are confident that our joint efforts will raise the event to a higher level, and give the Forum a higher status.”

The press were also addressed by Serikbek Elshibekov, General Manager for Business Support at KazMunayGaz; Rzabek Artygaliev, General Manager of Government and Public Relations at Tengizchevroil; and Yuri Borodikhin, Executive Director of Iteca.

The Head of ITE’s Oil & Gas Division, Mr Graeme Coombes commented. “This agreement is good news for everyone connected with the KAZENERGY Eurasian Forum and the KIOGE exhibition and conference. We co-ordinated the organisation of the events last year but the bond is now stronger because our Iteca team will be managing the logistics, promotion and sales of both events in Astana and Almaty. It is important that all participants are clear about the role that each event plays – and that we maximise the convenience for those who want to attend both”.

The KAZENERGY Eurasian Forum is an important political and strategic conference for the petroleum and energy industry in Kazakhstan and the Caspian region. The KIOGE conference focuses on the commercial, operational and technical aspects of the oil and gas industry in the country while the KIOGE exhibition provides business opportunities for companies who are keen to enter the market or expand in the region. Both events will celebrate the 20th anniversary of the independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan in 2011.
