OREANDA-NEWS. June 30, 2011. In accordance with the production plan, agri-holding "Astarta-Kiev" has completed the preparation of the storage capacities for a new crop. At the disposal of the company's there are elevators and warehouses with a total capacity of over 360 thousand tons. The enterprises are equipped with modern ventilation and temperature control system, have their own access roads and space for unloading vehicles.

Additionally the company will  use "big bags" for grain storage, where almost 65 thousand tons of grain will be placed. Astarta has being using this technology since 2008 and it has already proved its effectiveness.

Own modern grain drying and storage facilities allow significantly to improve quality, optimize logistics and increase the efficiency of the grain direction as a whole.

The harvesting campaign is scheduled for the first decade of July. This year, Astarta plans to harvest about 230 thousand tons of early grains and over 320 thousand tons of technical crops and oilseeds, as well as 2.5 million tons of sugar beet.
