OREANDA-NEWS. August 05, 2011. The Ukrainian airlines renew its park to aircraft of domestic production. State Enterprise "Antonov" delivered the regional jet An- 148- 100 built on a serial plant "Antonov" by the airline "Ukraine International Airlines". Participation in the ceremony took the Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine - Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine Borys Kolesnikov.

It is planned that the aircraft will serve both domestic and international flights, starting from 18 August 2011.

"This is an important event in framework of the program which establishes the Government - to stimulate Ukrainian airlines to buy aircraft of domestic production and upgrade its aircraft fleet of new aircraft such as the AN- 148 and AN- 158 developed by SE "Antonov", - Boris Kolesnikov said.

"Transfer of AN -148 for yet one of airline - an important event for our company and all participants of the program - said the President - General Constructor of SE "Antonov" Dmytro Kiva. - Aircraft confidently develops airways and most importantly - it likes to passengers. Today, based on the results of the first An- 148 on commercial lines we take every possible to provide comprehensive support to the customer at any day of the week and time of the day. For the pilot study we designed and certified simulator that allows you to simulate and thus work out all situations that occurring in the course of flights".

"I am convinced that with the pace in several years SE "Antonov" revive faith to the Ukrainian aircraft", - Boris Kolesnikov emphasized.

For reference. The regional jet of a new generation An-148 intended for the carriage 68-85 passengers on the distance to 4400 km. This - competitive product designed for SE "Antonov" in collaboration with more than 30 enterprises of Ukraine and about 200 enterprises from other 14 countries.
