OREANDA-NEWS. September 13, 2011. "China Global Operation Leader" project signing ceremony was held in Garden International Hotel by TISCO with Shanghai Jiaotong University and Massachusetts Institute of Technology. It marks that TISCO is the first state-owned enterprises with "China Global Operation Leader" double master degree launched by Shanghai Jiaotong University and Massachusetts Institute of Technology, reported the press-centre of TISCO.

Provincial Party Standing Committee member and Provincial Organization Department minister YangTao, Provincial Organization Department vice minister and Human Resources and Social Security Department minister Zhang Jian, Provincial SASAC Party Standing Committee deputy secretary Qu Xingxuan, Provincial Talents Working Leadership Group Office Director Feng Yunlong, Shanghai Jiaotong University Party Committee vice secretary Su Ming, Antai Economics and Management College president Zhou Lin, Massachusetts Institute of Technology Professor David Shinchlevy, TISCO leadership Li Xiaobo, Liu Fuxing, Wang Yide, and the first 10 students participating in the project training took part in the signing ceremony.

TISCO President Li Xiaobo delivered a speech in signing ceremony. He said, the success signing of "China Global Operation Leader" project is not only an important measure for TISCO? implementing talents strategy of Provincial Party Committee and Provincial SASAC, but also a positive result for TISCO deepening cooperation and developing mutually with Shanghai Jiaotong University and Massachusetts Institute of Technology. At present, TISCO is in line with the deployment of provincial committee and government sparing no efforts to promote the transformation spanning development, which needs more top talents as support. "China Global Operation Leader" project focuses on training of talents with international view, which is in line with the needs of the strategic goal of TISCO. TISCO likes to take the lead in participating in the project cooperation and get training results as soon as possible.

On behalf of cooperation partners respectively, Zhou Lin and David Shinchlevy welcome TISCO to participate in "China Global Operation Leader" project. They said, the official start of "China Global Operation Leader" project by TISCO with Shanghai Jiaotong University and Massachusetts Institute of Technology provides not only the necessary support of international high-end talents for TISCO’s future development of the transformation, but also an important platform of school-enterprise human resources cooperation for competitiveness of Chinese state-owned enterprise. They hope the success of signing could contribute to extensive cooperation between three parties and become a new model of "China Global Operation Leader" project cooperation.

On behalf of Provincial Party Committee and Organization Department respectively, Zhang Jian and Qu Xingxuan expressed congratulations to the official start of the Project. They said, Shanxi Province as a province with a large amount of resources, has been identified as the national economic transformation synthetically reform experiment area last year. Whether Shanxi could seize the great opportunities and realize the breakthrough from "black mining" to "green manufacturing", one of the important factors is talent. TISCO is the first to participate in "China Global Operation Leader" project in domestic state-owned enterprises which not only bringing strong power for the future transformation of TISCO, but also providing a powerful talent support for the transformation development of Shanxi Province.

"China Global Operation Leader" project is the domestic first full-time, interdisciplinary double master's degree project (MBA and Engineering). The project is jointly sponsored by Shanghai Jiaotong University Antai Economy and Management College, Machinery and Power Engineering College, Electronic Information and Electrical Engineering College and Chemical Engineering College, authorized by Massachusetts Institute of Technology in United States, which has get support and cooperation from famous multinational companies and Chinese enterprises, aiming to train a group of influential outstanding talents in manufacturing and operation areas. Ten TISCO students who participating in "China Global Operation Leader" project will go to Shanghai Jiaotong University for the two and a half years off-job training in early September.
