OREANDA-NEWS. October 10, 2011. FAS Russia included the group of persons comprising: “Russian Railways” OJSC and “TransContainer” OJSC in the Register of economic entities with over 35% share Реестр of a particular market, reported the press-centre of FAS Russia.  

FAS analyzed the state of competition on the market of loading – unloading (crane) works with universal containers (cargo in universal containers) and services for storage of universal containers (cargo in universal containers), carried out in locations of general use (railway stations opened under Nos. 5, 8 and 10 Paragraphs of No. 4 Tariff Regulations). Based on the analysis, FAS established that the group of persons comprising: “Russian Railways” OJSC and “TransContainer” OJSC has over 50 % shares on the above goods market within the boundaries of the Russian Federation.

Under Clause 8 Article 23 of the Federal Law “On Protection of Competition” and the Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation “On Approving the Rules for Putting Together and Keeping the Register of Economic Entities with over 35% Shares on a Market of Particular Goods or Have Dominant Position on a Market of Particular Goods, if the Federal Laws Establish Cases for Recognizing Dominant Position of Economic Entities for Such Markets”, FAS issued an order to include the group of persons comprising: “Russian Railways” OJSC and “Centre for Transporting in “TransContainer” containers” OJSC to the Register under the position: “loading – unloading (crane) works with universal containers (cargo in universal containers) and services for storage of universal containers (cargo in universal containers) carried out in locations of general use (railway stations opened under Nos. 5, 8 and 10 Paragraphs of No. 4 Tariff Regulations)”; Russian National Classifier of Economic Activities - 63.1; market share - > 50%; geographic boundaries – the Russian Federation.
