Azerbaijan Changes Cash Register Use Rules
OREANDA-NEWS. October 12, 2011. The Azerbaijani Ministry of Taxes is likely to introduce the new rules of the use of cash registers.
Tax minister Fazil Mammadov informs that previously installed cash registers are obsolete and should be replaced.
"This practice is applied throughout the world: cash registers are replaced every 5-6 years, as they become morally outdated and fail to meet to the requirements of time," he said.
The process will start from petrol stations where new cash registers will be installed since 1 January 2012. This kind of cash register does not allow sale of gasoline without use of cash register.
"A special committee has been set up in the Ministry on the occasion in compliance with the Cabinet’s decree. To date, the matter of programming of filling stations has been resolved as different stations use various devices. This issue has been solved, and special details from a Turkish company were bought for this purpose. Now it remains to solve the matter of software and purchase of new cash registers," the minister said.
