OREANDA-NEWS. October 27, 2011. The Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS Russia) made a decision to form an Expert Council for Developing Competition on the Market of Cars Sales and Servicing at FAS to consider issues and draft proposals aimed at developing competition on the markets of car sales and servicing, reported the press-centre of FAS Russia.

The Expert Council will be discussing the following issues:

- Interactions between car distributors and car dealers.

- Monopolistically high prices for spare parts for the cars under after-sales service, the costs of works, maintenance and repair services for the cars under after-sales service.

The Expert Council will comprise FAS experts, representatives of other federal executive bodies, the authorities of the constituent territories of the Russian Federation, academic institutions, market participants, representatives of associations, and public organizations in the field of car sales and servicing.
