Second Batch of Pigs Arrived to Pig Breeding Complex Petrovsky
OREANDA-NEWS. November 07, 2011. 24 869 pedigree Irish pigs of strain large white arrived to a separate branch “Pig Breeding Complex Petrovsky” (enterprise of “Group of Companies “Titan”). The animals were transported by an articulated lorry consisting of 4 cattle trucks. The pigs made trip from Ireland to Omsk for 10 days. According to pig breeding complex specialists, the animals feel fine, not a single animal died during the trip. Now the average weight of piglets is 80 kg, reported the press-centre of Titan.
At present the second batch of pigs is kept on pedigree farm separately from the rest of the animals which came earlier, in September. The pigs will be subjected to 30-days quarantine, during which they will be examined by pig breeding complex employees.
The third (the last) batch will arrive in mid-November. The head of pedigree farm Olesya Ulyankina has already returned from Ireland where she selected for Omsk pedigree complex 1172 specimen which already went on quarantine and are undergoing all necessary treatment.
