OREANDA-NEWS.  January 12, 2012. Pike Electric, American corporation, is ready to take part in construction of the high-voltage line connecting Balti and Suceava and in other energy projects of Moldova. This was announced by Eric Pike, owner of the corporation, at the meeting with Prime-Minister of Moldova Vladimir Filat in Chisinau.

At the meeting a matter was discussed concerning the construction of this line by Pike-Electric with the partnership with companies of Moldelectrica and Romelectrica. Eric Pike has noticed that his corporation has practical experience in building electric power installations both in the USA and overseas and is interested in participating in the project.

Eric Pike has also brought out the interest of the corporation to its possible participation in modernization of the infrastructure and electricity lines in Moldova as well as in sustainable energy projects based, in particular, on recycling. The experience of companies operating in this field is extremely important for Moldova, as far as the energy independence is the priority goal for the government of Moldova, Vladimir Filat has emphasized.

He affirmed his intention to provide all necessary support to develop mutually beneficial cooperation. The prime-minister has instructed those in charge to take an active part in the dialogue with the American partners for considering all opportunities of the cooperation and implementation of such projects, which are necessary to provide energy security of the state.
