OREANDA-NEWS. January 19, 2012. Besides, these means were allotted to carry out to maintenance of the whole 9342 km. long network of national roads. This was stated by Vladimir Filat, as he was reviewing results of the cabinet’s activities for 2011.

He has also noted that 73 roads approaching schools were repaired and the respective items of the structural reforms in education were 100% fulfilled.

At the same time Vladimir Filat has pointed out such shortcomings as non-transparency of auctions of purchasing all kinds of works, an excessive number of public economic agents involved into maintenance of roads, unfair distribution of routs, slow rate of the law harmonization.

It should be admitted that the size of the road fund in 2012 has been increased by 30% to 1 bln. 024,8 mln. leis. In 2010 it amounted to about 600 mln. leis.
