OREANDA-NEWS. June 5, 2012. 5 service centers of the international federal Tyre&Service network have been opened in the city of Petropavlovsk, an administrative center of North Kazakhstan, including sale and servicing of the KAMA solid steel cord tires manufactured by Nizhnekamsk tire Complex of TATNEFT.

"Kama" Trade House, which is one of the largest Russian distributors of tires (part of LLC  "Tatneft-Neftekhim" Management Company), has established a unique franchising network of Tyre&Service centers in Russia and the CIS for sale and servicing of tires. The service line is represented by different sizes of tires for vehicles of all categories: passenger cars, trucks and agricultural machinery. There are products of KAMA, KAMA EURO, Viatti brands, as well as a new generation of KAMA solid steel cord tires represented in the service center.

The SSC tires differ from traditional truck tires in the way that unlike the usual tires the SSC ones have the wire frame both in the carcass and the breaker (part of the tire, which is located between the carcass and the tread). The tire design is such that by the time the factory-made tread wears out the frame retains an almost new condition through the use of the rigid and long lasting metal cord. When the tread wears out to a critical thickness it can be restored through re-treading and replacement of the tire-tread layer. Retreading is not only a cost-effective procedure, but it is also environmentally beneficial as it significantly reduces the number of tires sent for recycling.

Service centers have also been opened at TATNEFT's filling stations to provide for a full range of tire fitting services for all KAMA solid steel cord tires.

The number of centers is continuously growing, more than 100 of Tyre&Service centers have already been opened in Europe, Russia and Ukraine as of today.

The project of TATNEFT Company on production of solid steel cord tires is the most promising area of the tire business development, which TATNEFT Company has invested about 17 billion rubles in. The new tires are used on trucks, buses and long-haul tractors with an increased loading capacity. The use of SSC tires provides for 8% increase in load capacity, 15% reduction of fuel consumption, while the tire mileage increases up to 500 thousand kilometers thanks to the possibility of triple retreading.

The products of the Nizhnekamsk SSC Tire Factory, which is part of "Tatneft-Neftekhim" Management Company, meet all current requirements for strength, efficiency and environmental friendliness.
