OREANDA-NEWS. June 8, 2012. On May 17 the heating period was completed at Krasnoyarsk CHP-4, a branch of JSC “Yenisei TGC (TGC-13)” (part of LLC “Siberian Generating Company” group of companies).

In accordance with the instruction of the Sosnovoborsk City Administration Head dated May 16, 2012, the heating season in Sosnovoborsk was completed on May 17. Krasnoyarsk CHP-4 equipment was switched over to the summer operational mode following the established procedure.

During the past heating period Krasnoyarsk CHP-4 ensured uninterrupted supply of heat to consumers in Sosnovoborsk. Major failures or incidents were avoided. Equipment maintenance and repairs proceeded as scheduled.

During 2011/2012 heating season the amount of thermal energy supplied by Krasnoyarsk CHP-4 was 21.3% below the previous heating period (2010/2011) level. The thermal energy supply reduction is due to redistribution of thermal load on Krasnoyarsk CHP-4.

Hydraulic testing of

heating networks completed at Krasnoyarsk CHP-4

During May 21-26 equipment outage (involving discontinuation of hot water supply to the Sosnovoborsk city residents) was undertaken at Krasnoyarsk CHP-4, branch of JSC “Yenisei TGC (TGC-13)” (part of LLC “Siberian Generating Company” group of companies) for purposes of heating networks hydraulic testing and repair works performance.

During his period Krasnoyarsk CHP-4 carried out hydraulic testing of the intra-site heating networks (i.e. those within the plant territory) as well as the Sosnovoborsk city heating networks. Hydraulic testing proceeded normally.

In the course of hydraulic testing the heating networks were tested for strength and tightness. Water was supplied into the main and submain networks under overpressure. The weak pipeline sections detected in this operational mode are included in the summer schedule of heating network repairs.

During the outage one performed at the plant the whole array of boiler installations equipment repair works planned for the period and undertook replacement of the water pipeline section.

Since May 26 supply of hot water to consumers in Sosnovoborsk has been resumed.

Currently, Krasnoyarsk CHP-4 is proceeding with the works planned in the annual repairs program. For preparation for 2012/2013 heating season the plant will undergo replacement of Plant No. 3 steam boiler water economizer, installation of backup dampers and expert evaluation of Plant No. 4 fuel oil reservoir industrial safety.
