OREANDA-NEWS. June 26, 2012. Representatives of the World Bank and the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS Russia) held a bilateral meeting in Moscow, reported the press-centre of FAS Russia. 

The meeting was organized under a World Bank initiative in order to discuss the results of cooperation between the World Bank and FAS Russia on knowledge exchange programmes in 2005 - 2011. This evaluation is an integral element of the Bank efforts towards enhancing efficiency of cooperation with the partner countries in the field of providing analytical services and knowledge exchange.

Mr. Martines, a representative of the Independent Evaluation Group of the World Bank (an internal unit of the Group of the World Bank) had a meeting with the Head of FAS Department for Administrative Reform and Control over Fee-Based State Services, Lyudmila Solontsova, to discuss cooperation between the Bank and FAS Russia within the project for reducing and eliminating administrative barriers.

The representative of the World Bank emphasized considerable experience of FAS Russia in the field of organizing international projects and suggested to engage the Antimonopoly Service at a stage of project and event planning in order to increase knowledge-exchange efficiency and project success rate in general.

Summing up the meeting, the parties agreed to continue cooperation in various fields based on knowledge and materials prepared by experts of the World Bank and FAS Russia.
