OREANDA-NEWS. August 14, 2012. The connection of Power Plant No 2 of the Central CHP of JSC TGC-1 to the city water supply system will be completed in August, 2012.

Connection of Central CHP to the city grids of GUP Vodokanal of St. Petersburg is a priority project implemented in the framework of the program of improvement of quality and reliability of the heat supply for the costumers of JSC TGC-1.

Works to switch power plant No2 of the Central CHPP will start on August 10, 2012. The experts of TGC-1 will prepare the technological scheme of CHPP to receive water from GUP Vodokanal of St. Petersburg in the course of six days. In this way, all the necessary conditions will be created for a full transfer of the plant to the city water supply, and Neva River water will be excluded from the scheme of feeding of the heating grids. As a result, the hot water that is supplied to the consumers will correspond to the approved sanitary norms, including coloration. The hot water supply of the consumers will be suspended for the duration of the works. TGC-1 would like to apologize for the inconvenience.

The agreement with GUP Vodokanal of St. Petersburg to lift the restriction on connection of JSC TGC-1 plant to the city water supply was signed in August of 2011, with the term of completion being December 2012.

In January of 2012, water from Neva River was excluded from the technological cycle of Vasileostrovskaya CHP, and from the start of the heating season the same works are also being implemented on Central and Vyborgskaya CHPs. The total cost of the works is more than 1 billion rubles.
