OREANDA-NEWS. August 22, 2012. The delegation of Outokumpu led by Jarmo Tonteri, Executive Vice President of Specialty Stainless at Outokumpu Oyj, visited TISCO, who were warmly welcomed by president Liu Fuxing, vice president Zhang Zhifang and correlative personnel of Shanxi Taigang Stainless steel Co., Ltd. (STSS) in Garden International Hotel, reported the press-centre of TISCO.
 
Mr. Liu Fuxing presented the welcome to the delegation. He said last year the visit and learning in Outokumpu brought great benefits. Outokumpu and TISCO all played decisive roles in stainless steel field. He hoped that the two parties could build a platform for top-level to visit each other so as to improve both enterprises’ core competitiveness by exchange and learning between each other.
 
Mr. Jarmo Tonteri learned of some production equipments and scientific research achievements of TISCO in detail and praised TISCO’s advanced technical equipments. He said that iron and steel market had its own periodicity so that the enterprises should adjust own strategies according to the request of market and control strictly own production cost.
      
During the meeting, both parties introduction their own enterprises status and deeply discussed the technical details of production and R&D of stainless steel.
      
Before the meeting, accompanied by Mr. Zhang Zhifang, the delegation visited 4350m3 BF, new steel-making plant, 2250mm hot rolling production line and new production line of stainless steel cold rolling plant.
      
Outokumpu’s headquarter sits in Finland. Outokumpu is one of the world six biggest stainless steel producers and its R&D of stainless steel ranks the leading position in the world. It is known that Outokumpu will be the world biggest stainless steel producer after acquiring Inoxum, the stainless steel business department of ThyssenKrupp.
