OREANDA-NEWS. September 26, 2012. The 12-th Youth Scientific and Practical Conference of TATNEFT dedicated to the 50th anniversary of "Elkhovneft" Oil and Gas Production Board was held in Almetyevsk, reported the press-centre of TATNEFT.

The plenary part of the youth forum was organized at the "Neftche" Palace of Culture. Welcoming the conference participants, Nail Ibragimov, First Deputy General Director for Production - Chief Engineer of TATNEFT, outlined the Company's development vectors allowing the Company to successfully develop its activities. He said in his speech addressed to the delegates of the conference, that today the oilmen together with the scientists are successfully developing new technologies enabling to effectively implement integrated solutions for crude oil production and crude oil fields' development problems.

A special role at that is played by the application of modern enhanced oil recovery (EOR) methods and technologies of wells' workover. More than 20 percent of the total Company's production fell on the application of tertiary EOR methods. The oilmen successfully develop new trends and technologies in drilling and the wells' workover. The speaker pointed out that all the achievements of TATNEFT had been greatly contributed to by the effort of the young people possessing such qualities as creativity and creative approach to resolving problems assigned.

Later on the event's participants moved over to the premises of the Almetyevsk State Oil Institute to work in subpanel meetings. The Youth Scientific and Practical Conference of TATNEFT once again demonstrated a significant professional and creative potential of the young oil specialists. Holding of such conferences by the Committee of youth organizations and Central Board of young professionals of the Company has become an annual tradition, and is designed to systematize and promote the production and creative activities of the Joint Stock Company's young professionals. In 2012, the expert commission had received 815 works submitted in all sections for participation in the Youth Conference.

Only 247 works of the submitted ones had been admitted to hearing at the forum due to demanding from year to year requirements. The works submitted were assessed by the chief experts of the Company.

Winners were determined in three groups: among the Company's Oil & Gas Production Boards, structural divisions and subsidiaries and service enterprises of Tatarstan.

Group I: ranking first was NGDU "Almetyvneft", II-nd - NGDU "Elkhovneft", III-rd - NGDU "Jalilneft".

Group II - "TatNIPIneft", II - Tatneftegazpererabotka" Administration, III - TGRU.

Group III "TatneftRemService", II - OOO "TMS Group" Management Company, III - "Tatintek".
