OREANDA-NEWS. October 26, 2012. The Prime Minister Mykola Azarov predicts completion of construction of 12 stations of the Kyiv Metro in the residential district of Troyeshchyna in 4-5 years. He said this while interacting with the residents of the district.

"If all goes well - in 4-5 years we will build the metro to Troyeshchyna," Mykola Azarov said.

He emphasized that in late 2012 - early 2013 there would be completed the Metro line towards residential district Teremky, then the capital metro builders start implementation of the project of Metro construction to Troyeshchyna. "2013-2014 years should be decisive regarding commissioning the Podil bridge crossing. A year and a half is enough for our metro builders to build an interchange station in the city center, and they come to this bridge. After that, there will be completed crossing over the bridge and the exit to Troyeshchyna," Mykola Azarov said.

The Prime Minister pointed out in the future, the speed tram line in Troyeshchyna to be used as one of the lines of the skytrain in Troyeshchyna.

In turn, the Chairman of Kyiv City State Administration Oleksandr Popov pointed out that thanks to the Government support, the Capital Metro construction is going on at a record pace in the last years.
