OREANDA-NEWS. January 09, 2013. Iran Khazar drilling platform belongs to North Drilling Company (NDCO), is the first Iranian jack-up drilling platform which is successfully granted an Institute of Supply Management license (ISM), reported the press-centre of NIOC.

After a prolonged session of installation, activate a unique ISM and technical surveillance agency's considerations, Iran Khazar drilling platform could reach the license.

Being granted ISM license, brings advantages such as an international credibility, and chances of drilling platforms being covered by foreign insurance companies. The latter is of grave importance since Iran Khazar drilling platform is active in international waters.

The ISM installation project was started in Khordad last year and with all the attempts done by technical surveillance agency and cooperating operational teams, the license was granted to NDCO in Azar 8th 1391.

NDCO is among the rare Iranian companies active outside of the border which cooperates with international oil companies through long-term deals. Russia and other European companies are competing with Iran Khazar drilling platform in Turkmenistan since it is considered as highly qualified.
