Latvia Interested in Studying Ukrainian Experience of E-Registers
OREANDA-NEWS. March 20, 2013. Latvia plans to send specialists to study the experience of Ukraine in creating national registers and other electronic databases, notably in legal area.
This was informed by Minister of Justice of the Republic of Latvia Janis Bordans in the course of a meeting with his Ukrainian counterpart – Justice Minister Olexandr Lavrynovych which was held in the Ukrainian Ministry of Justice in the framework of an official visit of the President of the Republic of Latvia Andris Berzins to Ukraine.
According to Janis Bordans, the experience of Ukraine in creating the national e-databases is interesting for Latvia. Besides, an experience in concentration of registration services in the restricted circle of state bodies which is convenient to satisfy information purposes of the society provokes interest.
In this context the Justice Minister Olexandr Lavrynovych stressed the system of national e-databases is a significant factor which accompanies all economic processes within the country.
Development of this area in Ukraine, according to the Ukrainian Minister, traditionally receives positive marks from European experts.
Nowadays, according to Olexandr Lavrynovych, in Ukraine there is an activity led to ensure interaction of databases which are filled by various bodies, namely the Pension fund, tax bodies, Justice bodies etc.
As a result, soon in Ukraine there will be created a system of operative information exchange between various state bodies and the citizens will be able to receive necessary information from the registers in one place.
Moreover, in the course of meeting Ukrainian and Latvian Justice Ministers discussed and compared the directions of elaborating legal systems of Ukraine and Latvia.
It was also emphasized the need to reconsider contract base in the legal area between Ukraine and Latvia. Notably, correcting of the existing agreements taking into account Latvia’s entering to the European Union.
