OREANDA-NEWS. KAMAZ has participated in the 7th International Lean Conference “Efficient Processes – High Productivity” devoted to modern conceptions and strategies for development of production systems on the basis of “lean manufacturing” principles.

The organizers of the conference which took place at IT-park of Naberezhnye Chelny and KAMAZ CEO’s office are the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Tatarstan, OJSC KAMAZ, and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Naberezhnye Chelny and Zakamye Region. The conference assembled more than 350 representatives of large Russian corporations and enterprises from 32 regions of Russia, and also lean trainers from Great Britain, Japan, Italy, and Turkey.

 The Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Tatarstan and State Corporation Rostec signed a cooperation agreement at the conference. Under this agreement, Rostec’s 14 enterprises located in Tatarstan may expect to receive federal grants provided that they drastically cut production losses.

Being the leading promoter of lean technologies in Russia, KAMAZ shared its experience in successful application of “lean manufacturing” principles. Yuriy Klochkov, First Deputy General Director of OJSC KAMAZ – CEO, delivered an address on “Lean Technologies for Higher Productivity”. Then, the participants of the conference managed to visit three workshops held at KAMAZ CEO’s office. Igor Medvedev, Chairman of OJSC KAMAZ’s Production System Development Committee, told about “Efficiency from Standardized Processes”. Pietro Cianci Venturi, Director of Development Department at CNH-KAMAZ Industrial BV, conducted a workshop on prioritization methods. And Rostec’s members discussed “Russia’s and other countries’ experience in the use of lean manufacturing for defense industry” at a round table meeting.
