OREANDA-NEWS. April 11, 2013. The 1st Arbitration Appeal Court of the Nizhny Novgorod region pronounced legitimacy of the decision and the fine imposed by the Office of the Federal Antimonopoly Service in the Nizhny Novgorod region (Nizhny Novgorod OFAS Russia) regarding “GAZ” OJSC.

In 2011, the Commission of Novgorod OFAS Russia found that “GAZ” OJSC violated Article 10 of the Federal Law “On Protection of Competition” by unreasonably refusing to conclude contracts for technological connection of energy-receiving devices of “Energoseti” Ltd. and fined the company around 1 million Rubles.

“GAZ” OJSC disagreed with the antimonopoly body and filed a lawsuit. On 3 April 2013, however, the 1st Arbitration Appeal Court of the Nizhny Novgorod region confirmed legitimacy of the decision of Novgorod OFAS Russia.
