OREANDA-NEWS. A new ticketing zone started operating in NOVOSIBIRSK International Airport. With a view to improve service quality as well as for passengers’ convenience, ticketing zone of the Domestic Terminal was relocated to Departure Hall, Ground floor, Gate A3.

Expanded up to 6 desks, ticketing block moved to a spacious light room designed in accordance with the airport’s corporate identity. Ticketing Agents are ready to consult passengers any time 24/7 offering suitable options of required flights, ticket exchange and refunds. Information Desk has also become a part of the common ticketing service area.

Previously located in Arrival Hall and now replaced with the Rest Area for comfortable stay of passengers with reduced mobility (PRMs), ticketing zone is a furnished, equipped with special handrails room with capacity up to 20 persons. If required, all passengers can receive medical assistance provided by the airport medical support staff.

NOVOSIBIRSK International Airport implements the integrated programme of creating barrier-free environment for PRMs. The passenger terminals are equipped with elevators, lift platforms on staircases and wheelchair ramps at exits. The apron equipment park of the airport was replenished with the modern highloader designed for transportation of 6 people in wheelchairs or 2 patients on stretchers.

NOVOSIBIRSK International Airport is the largest air hub east of the Urals on major transit routes between Europe and Asia. The domestic airline capacity makes up 1,800 passengers per hour, on international flights – 750 passengers per hour. The airport has two runways. In 2013 it expects to serve over 3.7 million passengers.
