OREANDA-NEWS. June 03, 2013. VTB announces changes in the management team of Tele2 Russia, which was purchased by VTB Group in late March.

Alexander Provotorov has been appointed as the company’s new President and CEO, and will also be a member of the Board of Directors. Mr Provorotov has extensive experience in the telecom industry. He was the head of Rostelecom for the last three years and previously served as First Deputy CEO at Svyazinvest.

Jere Calmes, who has served as the company’s President and CEO since February 2013, will remain with Tele2 Russia as First Deputy CEO. In this role, Mr Calmes will be responsible for the company’s operations and will also be a member of the Board of Directors.
