OREANDA-NEWS. As described in the “Business Revitalization Plan” released in February this year, Aozora Bank has been considering as part of its mid-term strategy a replacement of its "Kanjokei" Core Banking System which had been its longstanding corporate priority. In order to support implementation of its new business model, the Bank decided to adopt the “BeSTAcloud” outsourcing service operated by NTT DATA Corporation as its new Core Banking System (a system which supports banking transaction, inter-bank connections and foreign exchange.)

The Bank plans to use the new "Kanjokei" Core Banking System for processing its basic functions such as “operation processing function for deposits, exchanges, loans and others” and the “function for connecting with customers’ systems and external centers.”

The planned start date for using “BeSTAcloud” is in the second half of FY2015.

By adopting the new Core Banking System with flexibility and scalability, the Bank will be able to implement new products easier utilizing the Bank’s know-how and to provide new products and services faster to respond to customers' needs.

The outsourcing service provided by NTT DATA for "Kanjokei" Core Banking Systems has a good track record of stable operations at the NTT DATA Regional Bank Integrated Services Center and other places. The Bank can expect reliable system operations and further enhancement of security management.

Also, since computer systems are backed up by two centers located in East and West Japan, it becomes possible to swiftly take recovery actions for any unexpected large-scale disasters.
