OREANDA-NEWS. New test stands and a grinding-and-lapping machine have been installed at the Blagoveschensk Valve Plant (JSC BVP, Blagoveschensk, Bashkortostan, a part of the United Metallurgical Company, CJSC OMK) under the investment program that was adopted in May of 2013.

In September, three new test stands were installed and put into operation at the plant. They are used to conduct hydrostatic and pneumatic tests of wedge-type cast and swing check valves (with inside diameter of 50-300 mm and pressure up to 25 MPa). The stands allow products to be tested under two-sided pressure and with a vertical axis of line flanges in conformity with current specifications.

Under the investment program, a grinding-and-lapping machine has been delivered to the Blagoveschensk Valve Plant. It will be used to grind and lap saddles so that pop safety valves can achieve more exact flat surface accuracy and undulation values in conformity with design documentation requirements. The machine has been installed in the plant's machine assembly department.

Soon there will be another delivery of new equipment, including one expected to arrive at BVP that will include a stand that will conduct high-pressure tests of products.

"The Blagoveschensk Valve Plant pays a lot of attention to the quality of its products, and tries to make them fully correspond to our customers' requirements. The launch of new equipment will enable the plant to manufacture products of higher quality and increase its competitiveness in the market," stated BVP Executive Director Alexander Kozhevnikov.
