OREANDA-NEWS. November 29, 2013. Omsk Polypropylene Plant produced 100000-th tonne of goods.

An advanced enterprise of the petrochemical cluster of project “PARK” reached design capacity – 22,5 tonnes of polypropylene per hour – in early May, 2013. Nowadays total output amounts to 100 kt.

One of the major advantages of production technology for Omsk polypropylene is its ecological compatibility. Quality polymers are manufactured through closed-loop cycle. Production process lacks solvents and byproducts of reaction, modern purification system is employed, including dust- and gas-recovery devices.

Among the consumers of Omsk polypropylene there are Russian and foreign processors of feedstock. In business days the plant dispatches approximately 600-700 tonnes of goods.

Reference:

“Poliom” plant of 180 kt polypropylene per year capacity is able to produce ca. 100 grades of polymer. In the base of production lies the Spheripol process designed by company LyondellBasell Industries (Netherlands).

The project is realized on conditions of state-private partnership with attraction of funds from State Corporation “Bank of Development and Foreign Economic Activity (Vnesheconombank)”.
