OREANDA-NEWS. March 24, 2014. The appropriate amendments to the Tax code were approved by the government at the meeting.

Earlier the Constitutional court of Moldova declared illegal the decision of the Parliament about the decline in the size of the excise duty for cars not older than 10 years with a diesel engine capacity of more than 2.5 thousand cubic cm from 3.5 to 2 euro per 1 cubic cm and excise duty for cars with petrol engine over 3 thousand cubic cm. CC decision was made after consideration of the corresponding request of the deputies from the Liberal party, which challenged these provisions of the budget-tax policy for 2014.

They pointed to the fact that changes approved by the Parliament will lead to the reduction of the state budget revenue, and were made by the members of the parliamentary commissions without the presence of the positive conclusion of the government, as it is required by the existing law.
