Belagroprombank Draws USD 1bln from Foreign Donors
OREANDA-NEWS. OAO Belagroprombank, Belarus' second-largest commercial bank, drew a total of USD 1 billion in credits from foreign financial institutions in 2013 to finance business projects in Belarus, Belagroprombank Vice CEO Sergey Chugai told a press-conference on Tuesday.
OAO Belagroprombank saw the number of foreign credit partners increase significantly in 2013 at the expense of Russia, South-East Asia, North America. At the moment, the bank partners with some 100 banks from more than 30 banks.
OAO Belagroprombank was registered in 1991 and is now the country's second largest core bank. The state owns a 70% stake in the bank's charter capital. Belagroprombank accounts for one fourth of Belarusian banks' resources and over one third of the lending to the real economy.
