OREANDA-NEWS. June 23, 2014. Within the framework of the State visit of President of the Republic of Korea H.E. Park Geun-hye to Uzbekistan the business-forum of Uzbek and Korean businessmen took place in Tashkent. 

Within the framework of the State visit of President of the Republic of Korea H.E. Park Geun-hye to Uzbekistan the business-forum of Uzbek and Korean businessmen took place in Tashkent.  

The event attended by heads of ministries and agencies, companies and concerns of two countries, engaged in the field of foreign economic relations, investments, trade, bank and finance, fuel and energy, air services, automobile manufacture, agriculture and water resources management, construction jobs, mining and metallurgy, food, chemical, light and textile industry, production of electronic goods, as well as transportation and transport communications, logistics, insurance, export and import, communications, ICT, health care, pharmaceutics, tourism, science and education.     

The President of the Republic of Korea H.E. Park Geun-hye attended business-forum and made welcoming speech.  

During the event South Korean businessmen informed on socio-economic reforms, ongoing in our country, opportunities for investment, development of small business and private entrepreneurship, benefits and preferences in Navoi FIEZ, Angren and Jizzakh SIZ. It was talked on joint projects of various fields, implementing by Uzbek and South Korea business communities.    

There were profound exchange of views on further development of trade-economic and investment cooperation, partnership in such areas as energy, ICT, tourism, food, light and textile industry, science and education. Issues of manpower and professional development have been discussed.     

Cooperative exchange with attendance of number of Uzbek companies and enterprises, as well as Korean business delegation members took place same day.    

Within the framework of business-forum and cooperative exchange a number of documents on cooperation in the fields of energy, textile and light industry, information system software programs, education and others at the total amount of 2.4 billion USD.
