OREANDA-NEWS. August 06, 2014. Kazakh Prime Minister Bakytzhan Sagintayev has held a regular meeting of the Republican Tripartite Commission for Social Partnership and Regulation of Social and Labor Relations in Ukimet Uyi.

Representatives of central state bodies and local executive bodies, regional chambers of entrepreneurs and trade unions participated in the work of the commission.

Labor and Social Protection Minister Tamara Duissenova reported on the ststaus of labor relations in the regions. According to her, since the beginning of the year 10 labor disputes occurred in Kazakhstan. The main reasons were delayed payment of wages and employees' claims about its increasing.

All disputes were resolved in time thanks to the efforts of state bodies. Wage arrears in the country decreased almost three times to 253 million tenge from February to July of this year.

The meeting also approved the Action Plan on the organization of the Labor Day celebrations, and discussed the draft of the General Agreement between the Government of Kazakhstan, national associations of employees and employers for 2015-2017.

Summing up the meeting, Sagintayev noted the need to increase the level of legal knowledge and culture in the field of partnership relations both among workers and employers, as well as instructed to intensify work to repay debts and solve remuneration issues in general.
