Power Machines, Toshiba High-Voltage Transformers LLC
OREANDA-NEWS. August 20, 2014. Power Machines – Toshiba High-Voltage Transformers LLC (a Joint Venture between Power Machines OJSC and Toshiba Corporation, Japan) completed manufacture of its first products – two transformers with voltage rating of 110 kV and capacity of 63 MW each.
The transformers will be operated at the new production facility of Power Machines OJSC in the Metallostroy Industrial Area. The equipment successfully passed type and acceptance tests.
In the short term, specialists from the Joint Venture will commence supervised installation, start-up and commissioning works on the customer’s site.
According to Andrey Pishchikov, Director General of Power Machines – Toshiba High-Voltage Transformers LLC, "within the framework of this order, the plant’s specialists were able to work out the entire transformer manufacturing cycle, from design through production stages, including all types of tests, as well as to check out operation of the technological equipment. Today, the company is fully ready to serially manufacture transformers.
Execution of the first order from the Federal Grid Company, including two transformers for the 220 kV substation Gubernskaya, Tyumen, is underway. The equipment for Blagoveshchenskaya TPP and a number of other projects is at the design stage.
