OREANDA-NEWS. September 25, 2014. Government experts of the United States and Canada are to join the work of Ukrainian experts in the energy sector and share the best, worked out in practice development techniques of crisis plans in the energy sector. 

This was discussed during the meeting between Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine - Minister of Regional Development, Construction, Housing and Utilities Volodymyr Groysman and Assistant Secretary of the US Energy Department Jonathan Elkind.

"I’m committed to achieving a very clear result and to working with our international partners. It will be a Ukrainian plan, we understand this and appreciate the support of our American friends. We are completely open. I believe that the early days of interaction will enable to understand what we have to adjust during the preparation of Ukraine for the heating season," Volodymyr Groysman stressed.

In his turn, Jonathan Elkind noted that efficiency of plan’s development will depend on the depth of interaction as well as willingness of all parties towards open cooperation. He noted that a joint working group may start its work next Monday.
