OREANDA-NEWS. December 11, 2014. Sakhalin Energy was awarded a diploma for the public recognition at the Russian Volunteer Forum-2014 in the nomination “Socially responsible business-partner in implementing volunteering initiatives”. The Forum was held in Perm, Russia.

The award is given to organisations and people, who achieved success in development of volunteering in Russia. Sakhalin Energy was chosen one of the best among numerous Forum participants. This year the Forum represented  64 regions of Russia and 12 foreign countries among its participants. On the jury there were also not only Russian experts, but guests from Italy, German, Swiss, Scotland, Saudi Arabia and others.

As part of the business slot at the Forum, Sakhalin Energy presented its experience in developing corporate volunteering and partnership programmes with community orgranisations.

Starting from 2012 the Russian Volunteer Forum has been a national ground for discussing areas of development, establishing partner relationships. The circle of questions includes the development of volunteering, charity, social enterprising, social advertisement, corporate social responsibility, and partnership between business and NGO. The Forum has been conducted with the support of Ministry of Economic Development of Russian Federation and Federal Agency of Youth.
