POSCO Wins Critical Claim for Venture Business Promotion
OREANDA-NEWS. December 18, 2014. POSCO introduced cases of operating the `Idea Marketplace` by participating Creative Korea 2014 held at COEX, Samsung-dong, Seoul.
Creative Korea 2014 is jointly hosted by the Ministry of Science, ICT and Future Planning, 21 other governmental organizations, and 11 economic organizations, including the Federation of Korea Industries and Korea Venture Business Association. It combines outcomes and examples of private and public sectors to expand national support for the creative economy.
As an excellent company supporting venture businesses, POSCO won critical claim for its introduction of cases of promoting businesses carried out since 2011.
This was the second fair, following its success last year. It combined the Venture-Startup Festival individually hosted by the Small and Medium Business Administration and expanded the scope of participation to each ministry and local government, with 13 conglomerates and 640 start-ups taking part. Not only did it feature a bigger scale than last year, but it also had more fruitful contents.
Exhibition halls introducing creative products of the general public and start-up business, innovative technologies and cases of coexistence with conglomerates and supporting policies of government ministries and financial organizations were shared. There was also a start-up demo day held, as well as IR, various conferences, forums and seminars.
POSCO installed its `Idea Marketplace` booth to introduce visitors to its venture support program. The booth was located in the Creative Village so participants could experience the image and examples of ecosystem of the creative economy. Here, POSCO introduced the creative economy encountered in daily life in various spaces such as residential area, schools, venture complexes, markets and government offices.
In particular, POSCO explained the `Idea Marketplace`, the program competing excellent venture ideas and then connecting them to investors or directly investing started since 2011. By introducing participants to different aspects of the creative economy, it showed itself to be a company that supports startups and leads shared growth.
POSCO hosted the 8th Idea Marketplace, and concluded an agreement pledging cooperation on the creative economy for conglomerates-small and medium sized companies- venture businesses with the Ministry of Science, ICT and Future Planning and the Korea Venture Business Association.
