OREANDA-NEWS. On December 11, 2014 winners of "100 best goods of Russia" competition gathered in the conference hall of the Chuvash Metrology and Certification Center.

VNIIR's solution - thyristor automatic transfer switch - was given diploma as the novelty of the year among technical and industrial goods.

Sergey Abramov, CEO of the Chuvash Metrology and Certification Center, gave diploma to Sergey Krotov, Head of VNIIR's Quality Management Department.

On top of that workers and engineers, representing winning companies and enterprises, were given badges of honor for excellent work. Igor Kuklin, researcher from VNIIR's Converter Equipment Department, obtained the badge.

As a result, VNIIR may use logo of "100 best goods of Russia" in advertisements and place it on packing for 2 years.

Thyristor automatic transfer switch is designed for automatic start of backup power supply in case of failures on the main power source. It suits for public utilities, thermal and electric power facilities, nuclear power installations, oil & gas utilities and metallurgy. Service life of thyristor automatic transfer switch is 20 years.
